FRANCIS ANDRUSS purchased, before 1640, the north part of Richard Butler's lot on the corner of the present Elm and Trinity Streets. He removed to Fairfield, Fairfield, CT, where he was an early member of the 1st Congregational Church. His name appears on the founders monument of Fairfield. His will is dated June 6, 1662, and was proved Mar. 5, 1663.
FRANCIS may have been the brother of William Andrews of Hartford, and of John Andrews of Farmington. If so, four sons of these brothers married two pairs of sisters:
